Myself and my family (7 of us including Freddie the dog!) stayed at The Cherrybrook for three nights at the end of May. Chris and Sue were so welcoming... read more from the start, it was like we had known them for years. We had four rooms and every one was spotlessly clean with beautiful views over the surrounding moorland. A delicious breakfast followed a good night's sleep and included fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals to start followed by a hearty full English breakfast and as much tea, coffee and toast you can manage. Sue also served up a delicious evening meal for us all on one evening. I must make mention of the cosy bar for that evening tipple and if you are lucky Chris and Sue (Fine Whines Jazz) will play for you which was fantastic. My son bought a copy of their CD, it was so good. So, if are looking for a B&B on Dartmoor which is dog friendly, in a lovely quiet location, with comfortable, warm rooms and delicious breakfast then this is for you. Finally, I would like to say thank you again to Chris and Sue for a fabulous and relaxing time which was had by us all and we certainly be back again in the future. Highly recommended. Nicola and Family (and Freddie!).

The warmest and most genuine welcome greets you as you arrive at the Cherrybrook. Chris and Sue could not be more friendly and helpful, 2 naturals to the role we... read more thought, not to mention their 2 lovely dogs! The room was clean, warm and comfortable, nice shower (a tiny bit hotter would probably be nice in winter, but there was also the welcome option of a bath in the spotless shared bathroom), and the house is interesting and a bit quirky, as are our hosts! We were made to feel like old friends immediately. The breakfasts were delicious, with the best and freshest fruit salad every morning and beautifully cooked breakfast of your choice. Local places we loved were the walks straight out of the house, no need to drive, the Dartmoor pony exhibition and pottery nearby and the Warren House Inn just down the road for great meals and lovely open fires. We will certainly be back and it was a hard place to leave! Thank you so much Chris and Sue, and thank you so much for returning my hot water bottle, which I carelessly left behind. Next time, we will try harder to count the sheep more accurately for you! Bridget and Jean.
